This began on a bright morning in Porto. The streets were full of tourists and noise. Then I saw them. A green dress, a red bench, two figures looking out at the water. Everything moved around them and they stayed perfectly still. There was such care in how they sat together. Painting them felt like holding on to a small moment of calm.
